ITV racing will bring us liver coverage on Friday and Saturday this week with racing from Cheltenham, Bangor and Doncaster.
The two-day Cheltenham Christmas meeting takes place across Friday and Saturday and ITV will televise four races on each day. On Friday, four valuable handicaps will be shown live including the £100k Premier Handicap over 3m2f.
Saturday’s big betting heat is another handicap, the December Gold Cup. Paul Nicholls has won this on five occasions since 2009, twice each with Poquelin and Frodon with a further victory with Unioniste.
Bangor have their final meeting before Christmas on Friday, with a pair of handicap chases to be shown live. Saturday is the second day of Doncaster’s Christmas Jumper meeting, with the bet365 Handicap Chase, the Listed Doncaster Mares’ Hurdle and the bet365 Handicap Hurdle televised.

Most week’s ITV will show the big Saturday races live, but they will also televise the main meetings throughout the year such as the Cheltenham Festival, the Grand National at Aintree, Royal Ascot and Glorious Goodwood. A relatively new addition to the ITV schedule has been the twilight Sunday meetings which run from late afternoon into early evening, known as the Sunday Series.
