If you place a 90,000/1 accumulator, you can normally pretty much kiss goodbye to your stake money.
But one savvy punter has proved that there is an exception to every rule with a stunning win at Betfair.
The anonymous individual wagered £11.50 on the six-fold, which included two Euro 2020 match winners and a staggering FOUR different golf victors at odds ranging from 5/1 to 35/1.
He won £1,039,554 for his efforts, and has vowed to treat his partner and friends rather well.
“I think I’m going to take a few months off work to take my partner travelling,” he told Betfair’s social media.
“I like playing golf too, and I’d like to take some friends to the USA to play TPC Sawgrass.

To celebrate his seven-figure stardom, here’s a look at each of the six selections in turn.
Bet #1 – Croatia to Beat Scotland (7/5)
Available at an excellent price, Croatia were the punter’s first cab off the rank.
The World Cup finalists took an early lead through Nikola Vlasic at Hampden Park, before the hosts got back on level terms before half time through Callum McGregor.
If the winning punter’s nerves were beginning to fray at the first hurdle, they were at least settled somewhat when Luka Modric fired home on the hour mark.
Scotland pressed hard for an equaliser, but they were caught on the break and Ivan Perisic completed the 3-1 victory with a 77th minute goal.
Bet #2 – England to Beat Czech Republic (11/20)
Simultaneously with his first leg, England were taking on the Czech Republic at Wembley.
And Raheem Sterling got the Three Lions off to the best possible start with a 12th minute goal.
After that, very little happened in a rather tawdry affair, but England got the win to confirm top spot in their group and keep our punter’s dreams alive.
Bet #3 – Nelly Korda to Win Women’s PGA Championship (14/1)
Considered one of the best women’s golfers on the planet, Nelly Korda had already won twice on the LPGA TOUR in 2021.
So it was no surprise that Korda, the daughter of former Australian Open tennis champion Petr and sister of current top-50 tennis ace Sebastian, was amongst the market principles.
She got off to a decent start at the Atlanta Athletic Club, posting a first round score of 70 – one behind sister Jessica and three behind the early leader Lizette Salas.
A brilliant second round of 63 fired the American to the top of the leaderboard, and from there she never looked back – despite the dogged efforts of Salas, with whom Korda was tied for the lead heading into the final round.
In the end, Korda’s class shone through, and while Salas’ hopes crumbled the 22-year-old powered on to clinch victory by three shots.
Bet #4 – Viktor Hovland to Win BMW International Open (13/2)
Given that he’s a two-time PGA TOUR winner, Viktor Hovland was always expected to go well when taking a step down in grade for this European Tour event.
And so it proved, with the Norwegian’s high quality ball-striking enough to see him go clear of the field.
Despite a late charge from Martin Kaymer, Hovland held firm to clinch the title, a whole stack of prize money and to ensure the sweat beads running down the neck of our punter got that little bigger.
Bet #5 – Steve Stricker to Win Bridgestone Senior Players Championship (5/1)
When golfers are sent off as 5/1 favourite before a ball is even hit, you know they are going to go close.
Steve Stricker, a class apart from the rest of the Champions Tour, had already won the Chubb Classic this year and lost in a play-off at the Regions Tradition.
The Bridgestone, one of senior golf’s leading majors, attracted a decent field of over-50s, but none could compete with Stricker who ended up winning by a cavernous six shots.
Bet #6 – Harris English to Win Travelers Championship (35/1)
This would have been the point that our punter would have been considering a cash out offer.
His pick, Harris English, started the final round five shots behind the leader, with the likes of three-time event winner Bubba Watson and major champion Jason Day in the hunt.
But a remarkable sequence of events saw the leaders fluff their lines and English, grinding his way to -13, secured himself a play-off berth against Kramer Hickok.
They would duke it out for an incredible eight extra holes, each more nerve-shredding than the last. But, in the end, English’s class shone through, and he clinched his second PGA TOUR win of the season – and landed this Betfair punter the most extraordinary payday imaginable.
